Our Difference
Modified Fired Wood – The optimal solution for all high-end indoor and outdoor projects
1. Concept & Process
Thermowood is natural wood that has been treated with high temperatures (160–230°C) in a controlled environment of humidity and oxygen. This process changes the cellulose and hemicellulose structure of the wood, thereby improving its water resistance, pest resistance and dimensional stability.
No chemicals used – the entire process is environmentally friendly, preserving the natural beauty and reducing toxic gas emissions during use.
Applying advanced technology from Finland and Nordic countries – where there are strict standards in processing and evaluating the quality of construction materials
2. Material, Color & Safety
Wood material: Northern European red pine, cedar, white cypress - high durability, good bearing capacity, suitable for tropical climate.
Color: After firing, the wood has a dark brown, golden brown or chocolate brown color - no need to paint but still has natural beauty.
Formaldehyde free: Does not cause toxic odors in closed spaces.
Meets European standards EN 113, EN 350: For biodurability and rot resistance.
3. Applications & Functions
Outdoor: swimming pool deck, balcony deck, sunshade, curtain wall, canopy, wooden bridge, flower trellis, gate, door
Indoor: living room wall cladding, bedroom, floor, stairs, sauna, villa ceiling
Landscape application: wooden resort house, homestay, cafe, eco-tourism area
Good UV resistance, less fading over time
No shrinkage even in humid or hot environments
Mold-free – even in coastal areas
4. Construction, Maintenance & Warranty
Light wood, does not warp when cut – easy to install both hidden and visible systems
Easy to oil paint or clear coat if you want to increase the surface gloss
10–15 year warranty for interior purposes, 5–10 year for exterior (depending on weather conditions and installation)
No regular maintenance required, just clean with clean water and a soft brush
5. Aesthetics & Quality
Wood has a smooth surface, natural wood grain - creating a warm, luxurious feeling
No polishing required – retains sharpness and depth of grain
Not water-permeable leading to rot like normal wood
The longer the wood is burned, the darker the color will be, creating a high-class classic effect.
6. General Comparison
Criteria for Burnt Wood Conventional Wood
Lifespan Over 25 years 5–7 years
Water, moisture and fungus resistance Very good Low – susceptible to rot and mold
Anti-termite Natural, no chemicals Need chemical treatment
Dimensional stability Very high Low – seasonal shrinkage
Health safety No chemicals, no toxic gas May contain formaldehyde
Choose fired wood – One-time investment, lasting value!
